LATEST EPISODE

For me, food plays a huge role in my life both when it comes to pleasure of eating food as well the impact it has on my body and mind.

Therefore I was thrilled when Eleanor Rees agreed to come on as a guest. She's a nutritionist whose goal is to help everyone improve their overall health and lifestyle.

We discuss the benefits of cooking from scratch, the importance of plant-based foods and how nutrition impacts mood and brain function. Eleanor also shares how to use food as a vehicle for performance and breaks down some of the confusing advice and myths around nutrition.

BLOG

One of my weekly readings and inspirations is Mats Lederhausen's weekly newsletter "In The Pursuit of Elevation", which is all about how we as humanity and businesses can find a better way.

His writing makes me stop and reflect if Iโ€™m doing enough to contribute and also how I can become a better version of myself.

โ€‹
This week really resonated with me as I spent my formative years growing up and working in my mum's restaurants and later in McDonaldโ€™s, and am now running my own food and drink ventures. Get a perspective on why the restaurant industry is so important for humanity in hard times. It gave me some optimism - I hope it gives you the same.

Hospitality Mavericks

by Michael Tingsager

We wanted to show there was another way to build and lead businesses. So Hospitality Mavericks was born. We wanted to gather together the worldโ€™s Mavericks who do things differently from the norm. They are leaders from all walks of life who have shown and proven that there is a better way forward without cashing out on their values; ripping off their people, community and planet. That was over ten years ago. Since then we've worked with and interviewed more than 200 leaders, thinkers and experts on the best way to build a business that makes a positive impact on all stakeholders. We are the home to impactful leaders that KNOW and DO things in a better way. A network for those seeking a different path. So donโ€™t just be like the others! Dare to Be Different โœŠ

The Daila Lama brings up...

You need more POSITIVE ENERGY.In my work observing what Maverick leaders KNOW and DO, I have found that they see positive energy as THE fuel for driving themselves and their organisation to greatness. When I talk about positive energy, I do not think about the rah-rah kind. I think about:- Optimism.-...
