We wanted to show there was another way to build and lead businesses. So Hospitality Mavericks was born. We wanted to gather together the worldβs Mavericks who do things differently from the norm. They are leaders from all walks of life who have shown and proven that there is a better way forward without cashing out on their values; ripping off their people, community and planet. That was over ten years ago. Since then we've worked with and interviewed more than 200 leaders, thinkers and experts on the best way to build a business that makes a positive impact on all stakeholders. We are the home to impactful leaders that KNOW and DO things in a better way. A network for those seeking a different path. So donβt just be like the others! Dare to Be Different β

We are back in the arena.
This time of the year, I set big goals and ambitions for the year ahead and beyond.
β
π―Goals are, in my view, a picture of a perfect world in the future.
β
But life and business are not perfect.
β
You are not always in control of what happens in life and business.
β
That can side-track you from reaching your goals.
β
You might lose hope, faith, energy and confidence.
β
It happens to me.
β
Well-defined goals are essential, but the real magic happens daily in those repeatable actions - the process. π±
β
It's not about one-hit wonders; it's about consistent, incremental improvements that make dreams a reality. π
If you get 1 % better each day for one year, youβll end up thirtyβseven times better in 12 months.
This year, I will focus more on falling in love with creating systems for better processes that improve my life, podcast and businesses by 1% every day.
Because 1% better today than yesterday adds up.
So, every day, I will ask myself: what did I do 1% better today?
What is your hack to keep the momentum and achieve your dreams?
Recently, I have been studying Arnold Schwarzenegger as a person, performer, artist, politician and businessman. What a Maverick Arnold is, and his positive impact on people, society, and our planet has blown my mind.

Wise selfishness vs foolish selfishness.Last week, I was captivated by a Netflix documentary featuring the late Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama titled "Joy." Here, they discuss how to find joy and happiness during troubled times. At some point in the interview, they discuss the need to care for yourself without hurting others. They state that you must take care of yourself, or you can not survive or be helpful to others. But caring for oneself should not hurt others. The Daila Lama brings up...
The Power of Positive Energy.None of us can expect to get through life and work without obstacles. Life and work do not always go our way.But that does not mean you canβt navigate it better. You need more POSITIVE ENERGY.In my work observing what Maverick leaders KNOW and DO, I have found that they see positive energy as THE fuel for driving themselves and their organisation to greatness. When I talk about positive energy, I do not think about the rah-rah kind. I think about:- Optimism.-...
Slow down to go far...In the bustling landscape of entrepreneurship and life, finding the silence and solitude one needs to think clearly can be challenging. In the last few years, I've recognised its profound impact on my life and work. Not only when it comes to coping now but also to ensure I can keep going.Silence is often overlooked in our fast-paced world. It holds the key to bettering ourselves and enhancing our leadership. When we neglect this vital space, the quality of our...
